Bu’ermen Forest Park

Bu’ermen Forest Park, 1.5 kilometers south of downtown Yongshun County, covers an area of 30 square kilometers with more than 90 percent of that area in forest coverage. The Mengdong River runs through Youngshun County from north to south, connecting old and new town areas. Bu’ermen Forest Park is a key cultural relic site under national-level protection and one of the first health care demonstrative bases of Hunan Province. It is also a provincial geological park and famous Buddhist site in Hunan Province.


Enjoy a hot spring visit

There are hot springs at Bu’ermen Forest Park, which is a gift from nature. There are hot spring pools of different sizes and shapes. A small hot spring pool can hold seven to eight people, while a big one can contain more than 100 people with a deep water area of nearly two meters.
The temperature of the hot springs at the forest park is between 39.8 to 41 degrees Celsius all year long and the daily flow of the hot spring is more than 2,400 cubic meters.
 

 
See marvelous sights

In Bu’ermen Forest Park, there is the natural scenery of nearly 13.33 hectares of secondary forest. It’s a karst stone forest landform formed by water dissolving limestone for hundreds of years. The stone forest is renowned as a masterpiece of nature for its various shapes of stones, ancient trees and cave sites of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties (about 1600 BC -256 BC).


 
Visit holy Buddhist site

Bu’ermen Forest Park has been famed for its mountain, hot springs and Buddhist site since ancient times. Guanyin Stone is a marvelous spectacle of the park; it’s an about 20-meter-high stone shaped like Guanyin by limestone weathering.
 
Under Guanyin Stone, there is a group of ancient palaces and pavilions named Guanyin Temple.
